How often do you make recommendations that go nowhere?

The person doesn't take your advice. Your advice gets lost in a myriad of tweets or status updates or Mafia Wars requests. Even worse, the person goes in the opposite direction and thinks they are following your advice. Well that's not what happened to me today!
